What exactly is GLOW?+
A learning platform for ages 6–13 built around three things: a map of real curriculum topics, an AI tutor that coaches instead of answering, and evidence-based mastery tracking. Kids also get creative studios (pictures, stories, adventures, simple apps) as the fun wrapped around the learning.
Does the AI just do my kid's homework?+
No — by design. Homework-shaped requests are detected and turned into teaching moments. The tutor gives worked examples and hints, asks guiding questions, and flags direct answer-fishing. Producing hand-in answers is the one thing it refuses to be good at.
How does GLOW keep my child safe?+
Three layers: a deterministic rule filter that can't be jailbroken, an AI moderation layer tuned for kid contexts, and output checks on everything the tutor says. A 500-case adversarial test suite runs on every code change. Full details are on the Safety page.
What can I see as a parent?+
Everything. Full session transcripts with safety verdicts inline, a flag-review queue, mastery progress over time, a kill switch, quiet hours, and per-child daily time caps.
What does GLOW do if my child says something worrying?+
The tutor responds with a calm, scripted message that encourages them to talk to a trusted adult — it never plays therapist — and the exchange is flagged in your parent console immediately.
Does my child need an email address?+
No. You create their profile and hand them a short invite code. Kids never have an email, password, or any public presence on GLOW.
Which curriculum does GLOW follow?+
The knowledge graph is built from real curriculum frameworks — Australian curriculum (including NSW syllabuses and OC exam prep) first, with more jurisdictions planned. Mastery on GLOW maps to what school actually expects.
What ages is it for?+
Designed for 6–13. Younger kids get a voice-first experience with bigger targets and gentler pacing; older kids get more independence and harder material.
How much does it cost?+
There will be a free tier (one learner, light daily AI use) and simple family subscriptions. Final numbers land at launch — see Pricing for the plan. No ads and no data selling at any tier.
